Rohit continues to endure horrible form, fails in Ranji game

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma flopped on his Ranji return, losing his wicket for three runs in Mumbai’s match against Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Rohit, opening the batting alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, negotiated just 19 deliveries before losing his wicket to Umar Nazir Mir. Rohit Sharma’s much-anticipated Ranji Trophy return ended in disappointment as his struggle to regain his form continued. The frustration is growing for one of India’s most talented batters, who has been unable to convert his starts into a big total.
There was palpable anticipation in the lead-up to his participation in the domestic cricket after he made himself available to play for Mumbai. But his constant failure has become a talking point. Sharma, who has been going through torrid times, endured a poor run of form during the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy as well.
Ahead of the Test series against Australia, Rohit had made no noteworthy impact during the five home Test matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand, achieving only a half-century. And, in five innings in Australia, Rohit mustered only 31 runs.
