IND vs ENG 2nd T20I: All you need to know, head to head, playing XI
The cricketing showdown between India and England will take centre stage once again as the two sides prepare to lock horns in the second T20I, to be held on Saturday at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. India are leading the five-match series 1-0 after a dominant victory in the opening game. Meanwhile, the pressure is firmly on England to win the second game and keep their hopes alive.
The first match of the series saw India deliver a commanding performance with both bat and ball. Abhishek Sharma was the star of the show, launching a scathing attack on England bowlers with his 79 off 34. India’s bowling attack was led by Varun Chakaracarthy and Axar Patel, who both exploited the conditions very well.
England, on the other hand, struggled to find their rhythm and were unable to set a huge target. The loss has put them in a must-win situation heading into the second game. Skipper Jos Buttler was the top-scorer for the side in the first match, firing 68 off 44.
