New Zealand have added Jacob Duffy to their squad for the upcoming ODI tri-Series in Pakistan, set to begin on February 8 in Lahore. The tri-series, which involves South Africa as well, will serve as a big platform in their preparations for the upcoming Champions Trophy.

Duffy was instrumental for New Zealand in their recent white-ball series against Sri Lanka at home. He claimed four wickets in two ODIs and eight wickets in three T20Is. He has been added to the squad primarily as a cover for all-rounder Lockie Ferguson, who is in UAE playing ILT20. New Zealand are scheduled to depart for Pakistan on February 3 (Monday) to play the tri-series. Following the ODI tri-series, they will participate in the Champions Trophy.

New Zealand squad: Mitchell Santner (c), Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Will O'Rourke, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Ben Sears, Nathan Smith, Kane Williamson, Will Young, Jacob Duffy
