Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, have a promising set of players in Soumya Sarkar, Tanzid Hasan, Tawhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mustafizur Rahman. With a balanced lineup, Bangladesh’s ability can’t be underestimated as they have staged come from behind comebacks in the past.
India also boast a dynamic squad that combines the experience of established players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Ravindra Jadeja with the youthful energy of players like Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. India’s top-order batting has been one of their biggest strengths. While, their bowling attack, led by Mohammed Shami and supported by the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja, is expected to play a key role in the absence of their pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who was ruled out the tournament due to an injury.
