Match officials announced for Champions Trophy final

The ICC has officially announced the match officials for the epic final of the Champions Trophy 2025, set to be played between India and New Zealand on Sunday (9 March) in Dubai. The two teams, who have been in stellar form throughout the tournament, will compete for the prestigious title in what promises to be a high-voltage showdown.

Leading the officiating team is Paul Reiffel, who will take on the role of the on-field umpire alongside Richard Illingworth , who is the second on-field umpire, for the final. Joel Wilson and Kumar Dharmasena have been named third and fourth umpires respectively. Ranjan Madugalle will be the match referee. 

India have been unbeaten so far in the tournament, having won all of their three group stage matches. While, New Zealand’s only loss was against India during their group stage clash. The upcoming showdown is set to be highly competitive with both sides riding high on success. New Zealand stormed into the final after registering a crushing victory over South Africa in the semi-final.
