Indian allrounder Shardul Thakur has joined Lucknow Super Giants as a replacement for Mohsin khan at his base price of INR 2 crore. Thakur, who went unsold at the auction last year, has struck a deal with LSG, who are being led by Rishabh Pant. LSG are set to open their IPL 2025 campaign against Delhi Capitals on Monday at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

Most of LSG’s frontline bowlers like Mayank Yadav, Akash Deep, Mohsin and Avesh Khan are currently managing their respective injuries. According to The Indian Express, BCCI’s Centre of Excellence told LSG that Mohsin is 50% fit and could be available during the season. Thakur, meanwhile, has traveled to Vizag for LSG’s opening match against Delhi Capitals and is expected to open the bowling alongside West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph.
