Tamim Iqbal rushed to hospital with extreme chest pain

Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal, as per reports, has been taken to a hospital in Savar with extreme chest pain experienced midway through a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club. Earlier, a helicopter was arranged to take him to Dhaka, but he could not be flown from the BKSP ground. Then, he was later taken to Fazilatunnesa Hospital.
Tamim, who announced his retirement from international cricket in January this year, made his international debut in an ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2007. He has played 243 ODIs, 70 tests, and 78 T20Is. He has scored 8357, 5134, and 1778 respectively across all formats.
