IPL 2025, CSK vs RCB: Dominant RCB romp to victory

In an impressive display of dominance, Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured a thrilling 50-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in their Indian Premier League clash on Friday at Chepauk, marking the end of a 17-year drought. Their remarkable performance was highlighted by a blistering bowling attack and solid batting effort, as RCB kept CSK under pressure throughout the match.
Earlier, after being asked to bat, Heat posted a total of 196/7 in 20 overs, with their skipper, Rajat Patidar, leading the way with a dynamic knock of 51 runs off 32 deliveries. Patidar’s innings was crucial, providing the backbone for the team's total. He was well-supported by contributions from other key players in the lineup, which allowed RCB to set a challenging target for CSK.
On the other hand, CSK failed to get a strong start with opener Rahul Tripathi losing his wicket in the second over. RCB bowlers wasted no time in making their presence felt. From the very first over, they applied pressure on the CSK batsmen, ensuring that boundaries were hard to come by.
Amidst this onslaught, Rachin Ravindra emerged as the lone warrior for CSK, showing great courage and determination. His explosive knock of 41 runs kept the hopes of a successful chase alive for a while, as he found some form in the face of RCB's ferocious attack. However, his efforts proved insufficient, as the rest of the CSK batting lineup failed to fire. CSK finished at 146/8 in 20 overs.
