The 48th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season is set to see Delhi Capitals host Kolkata Knight Riders at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. The showdown carries significant weight for both teams, who are heading into this clash on the back of contrasting recent performances.

Since returning to their home ground, Delhi Capitals have struggled to find consistency, which has hindered their progress in the tournament. Having played three matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, DC have only managed one win. They have been unable to string together consecutive victories. Their recent defeat came against RCB on Sunday, failing to defend a total of 162.

On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders also find themselves in a difficult position with three wins out of nine games. The inconsistency has played a huge role in KKR’s downfall. Meanwhile, heading into this game, they will hope for a turnaround to have a ray of hope for the playoffs.
