Gill, Sudharsan fire GT into IPL playoffs

Gujarat Titans demonstrated an aggressive intent with a ruthless 10-wicket demolition of Delhi Capitals, chasing down a challenging 200-run target with unwavering precision and without losing a single wicket. The dynamic opening duo of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan starred in the commanding win, blasting unbeaten knocks of 93 and 108, respectively, to lead GT to victory. With the win, Gujarat Titans also became the first team to qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs.
Chasing a stiff target of 200, Gill and Sudharsan wasted no time in seizing control of the chase, rotating the strike with ease and dispatching DC bowlers all over the ground. They stitched together an unbroken 205-run stand that silenced DC bowlers. GT went over the line in 19 overs, putting up 205/0.
Earlier in the day, DC had seemingly set up a strong platform for victory after being asked to bat first. KL Rahul, opening the innings, was in sublime touch as he carved out a sensational 112 unbeaten, anchoring innings with class and authority. His efforts with the bat, meanwhile, were rendered ineffective in the face of GTs’ batting onslaught.
