Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have brought in New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert as a temporary replacement for England's Jacob Bethell. Seifert has been signed in the wake of Bethell's unavailability for RCB owing to national duties.

Bethell is scheduled to leave for England after RCB’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23 in Lucknow. He will leave for England on May 24. Bethell, meanwhile, has represented RCB in two matches in his maiden IPL season.

As for Seifert, he will join RCB on May 24. He has massive experience in the shortest format game, having played 66 T20Is and scored 1540 runs. He is set to join RCB for INR 2 crore.
