WTC Final, 2025: Australia unveil playing XI, Hazlewood preferred over Boland

Australia have unveiled a formidable full-strength squad for the 2025 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against South Africa at Lord’s, scheduled from June 11 to 15. Captain Pat Cummins has taken a bold decision by promoting Marnus Labuschagne to open the batting alongside Usman Khawaja. 

Meanwhile, Josh Hazlewood has been preferred over Scott Boland. He will partner with Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc. Cameron Green and Beau Webster have also been included in the XI. Cameron Green is set to play his first Test since back surgery last year. Notably, batting sensation Sam Konstas was omitted from the playing XI. 

Australia XI: Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Cameron Green, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Beau Webster, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
