England name squad for 4th Test, bring in Liam Dawson

England have announced their squad for the fourth Test match against India, with spin-bowling all-rounder Liam Dawson making his comeback to the Test after eight years. Dawson has been included in the squad as a replacement for Shoaib Bashir, who has been ruled out of the series due to injury. Dawson has played six Tests and taken seven wickets since making his debut in 2016. As for Bashir, he suffered the injury during the third Test match at Lord’s, which England won by 22 runs to move 2-1 up in the five-match series.
"Liam Dawson deserves his call-up. He has been in outstanding form in the County Championship and consistently puts in strong performances for Hampshire," national selector Luke Wright said in an ECB statement.
The fourth Test will begin on July 23 at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.
