Tim David blazes the fastest T20I hundred for Australia

Smashing 11 sixes in a clear display of power-hitting, Australian star Tim David shattered the Australian record for the fastest T20I century during the third T20I against the West Indies in Basseterre, St. Kitts. He reached the milestone in just 37 deliveries, overtaking Josh Inglis’s previous record of 43 balls. David earlier also scored the fastest T20I half-century for Australia, notching it in just 16 balls.
Meanwhile, Australia beat West Indies by six wickets to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
Chasing the target of 215, Australia made light work of the chase, with openers Mitchell Marsh (22) and Glenn Maxwell (20) proving the team a smooth start. Australia, however, lost two wickets (Cameron Green and Josh Inglis) in quick succession, reeling at 87/4 after 8.4 overs. But David, walking in at No. 5 with his side under huge pressure, unleashed a brutal onslaught, putting Australia back in the game. Tim David stitched a mammoth 128-run stand to take Australia over the line with 23 balls to spare.
