ENG vs SA 2nd T20I: Phil Salt's 39-ball ton shatters records

Phil Salt blasted a 39-ball hundred as England obliterated South Africa by 146 runs in the second T20I match of the three‑match series on Friday, at Old Trafford. Phil Salt's 39-ball ton, the fastest by an England batter, guided England to the highest ever T20I score against a full member team. England's 304/2 was the third biggest men's total in the history of T20 internationals.
England, who were asked to bat first by South Africa, piled on 304 for 2 in 20 overs, with Phil Salt and Jos Buttler slamming 141* and 83, respectively. Buttler, who added to the carnage, smashed his fifty in 18 balls, the third-fastest half-century for England.
South Africa, in reply, never got going. They were all out for 158 in 16.1 overs. Meanwhile, England needed a big performance to level the series after South Africa won the first T20I.
