Team India dominated Day 2 of the ongoing first Test against West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, ending the day at a commanding 448/5 at stumps. Taking a formidable 286-run lead in the first innings, India put themselves in a dominant position, thanks to splendid centuries from KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, and Ravindra Jadeja.

Resuming the day, India built steadily on the foundation laid on Day 1. KL Rahul played a composed knock, bringing up his century with characteristic fluency before eventually falling for 100 off 197. His innings allowed the middle order to play freely and build a massive total. Young wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel impressed with a stylish and confident 125, slamming his maiden Test century. Jurel’s knock was loaded with elegant drives, warranting his selection.

Ever dangerous Ravindra Jadeja also played an equally impressive role, remaining unbeaten on 104 at stumps. Alongside him is Washington Sundar, who is unbeaten on 9, providing him valuable support. Heading into day three, India would look to stretch their lead even further.

Earlier in the match, West Indies were bowled out for just 162 in their first innings after deciding to bat. They crumbled under relentless pressure from the Indian bowling attack led by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj. With a massive deficit already looming, West Indies bowlers toiled hard on Day 2 but found little success against the in-form Indian contingent.
