India produced a dominant all-round performance to beat Australia by five wickets in the third T20I at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart, levelling the five-match series 1-1. The visitors chased down a stiff target of 187 with nine balls to spare, thanks to Washington Sundar’s breathtaking 49 off 23 balls.

Deciding to bowl first, India limited Australia to 186 for 6, despite explosive knocks from Tim David and Marcus Stoinis. David smashed 74 runs, while Stoinis contributed a blistering 64, helping the hosts recover from a shaky start to post a competitive total.

In reply, India’s chase got off to a steady start with openers Abhishek Sharma (25) and Suryakumar Yadav (24) providing a solid base. Tilak Varma then kept the scoreboard ticking with a fluent 29. Down the order, Washington Sundar turned the game decisively in India’s favour. Coming in during a tense phase, the all-rounder bludgeoned an unbeaten 49 off 23 to take India over the line.
