Asia Cup 2023: Eyes on India’s top order as they take on Nepal

India will be playing their second match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 against Nepal on Monday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Going into this match, India will hope to get complete action after having failed to play the full game against Pakistan on Saturday due to rain. In the match against Pakistan, only one innings had been played as India had opted to bat after winning the toss. Team India’s top order didn’t come out with great performances with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill all failing to get going. In the match against Nepal, India will be without their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah who has returned home due to personal reasons. India’s top batters would hope to return to scoring in the match against Nepal as it will be crucial for them to win it.
On the other hand, Nepal had played their first match against Pakistan which was also the opening match of the Asia Cup 2023. Nepal lost their match against Pakistan by (238) runs as they too would hope for greater result. Aarif Sheikh and Sompal Kami will be expected to play crucial roles for Nepal.
