IND vs AUS 3rd T20I: India aim series as Australia eye their comeback
India and Australia will square off against each other on Tuesday in the third T20I match of the five-match series in Guwahati. India are leading the five-match series 2-0 under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav. India beat Australia on Sunday in Thiruvananthapuram in the 2nd game to lead the series 2-0. In the second game, India’s top-three batters smashed half-centuries that propelled the team to a huge total of 235. Yashasvi Jaiswal (53) Rutraj Gaikwad (58) and Ishan Kishan (52) played marvellous innings to contribute to team’s win. In the first game, India had chased down the total of 208, which was their highest chase in T20Is. Combined efforts from Indian players have helped them overcome Australia in both the games. It’s been hugely regaling from India to have successfully pinned down Australia in the first two games. India boast of a great performance as they are having tremendous amount of confidence.
India don’t have a lot to worry with the way they are coming out with their performances. Going into this match, they would look to clinch the series victory. Australia, on the other hand, are reeling from their two defeats. They have displayed positive intent and positive approach but they have fallen short of victory on both occasions. Australia will bank on the likes of Josh Inglis, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Tim David. In the first game, Josh Inglis and Steve Smith had scored century and half-century respectively but they faltered in the second game. In the second match, Australia brought Glenn Maxwell but he failed to keep up with his World Cup momentum as he fell for 19.
