Big Bash League 2023-24, all you need to know, squad, players and teams

The 13th season of the riveting Big Bash League 2023-24 is all slated to get underway from Thursday (December 7) with the clash between last year’s runners-up Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat. The long-awaited tournament is at the doorsteps with just 24 hours to go for its start. There is a volume of players who are ready to unleash their talent in the high-profile tournament. In this tournament, there will be forty home-and-away matches with eight teams featuring in the mega event. The tournament will run over the course of more than a month as it will commence from December 7 and end on January 24 2024. During the group stage games, four teams will be qualifying for the playoffs that will involve Qualifier, Knockout, Challenger and the final. The tournament will be held across ten cities on twelve venues. The qualifier and the knockout finals will be played on January 19 and January 20. The final will be held on January 24. Meanwhile, the tournament will also slip into a five-day break due to the Test between Australia and Pakistan from December 14-18. There will be players like Glenn Maxwell, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith and Marcus Stoinis who will be seen in action after finishing the ODI World Cup in India on a bright note.
