NZ’s Kyle Jamieson rested for Bangladesh ODI series
New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson has been rested for the remainder of the ongoing ODI series against Bangladesh after experiencing 'stiffness' in his hamstring as stated by New Zealand Cricket. Jamieson will be going through rest in meantime as he had experienced stiffness upon his return from New Zealand’s Test tour. Kyle Jamieson is expected to be available for the three-match T20I series. New Zealand head coach Gary Stead asserted that management didn’t want to take unnecessary risks with Jamieson. As a cover for Jamieson, Wellington Firebird fast bowler Ben Sears will persist with the New Zealand squad. He is looking forward to making his ODI debut. Sears last played in International cricket was more than a year ago in a T20I against Netherlands.
“As we flagged when naming the ODI squad, we see the series as a chance to provide opportunities to some new players, and Ben Fits that category," Gary Stead said.
