Nabi eclipses Shakib to be No.1 ranked allrounder

News

Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has dethroned Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan to become the No.1 ranked allrounder in the ICC rankings. Veteran Nabi has been in great touch with the bat, having hammered 136 recently in the first ODI match against Sri Lanka. On the back of his great innings, Nabi climbed to the top position.

One of the best allrounders Shakib, on the other hand, has not played in any ODI game since the conclusion of the ODI World Cup 2023. In the upcoming assignment of Bangladesh against Sri Lanka, Shakib hasn’t been included due to his eye issue. He will be missing Bangladesh’s white-ball series against Sri Lanka entirely.

Shakib remained intact on this position for the last five years after attaining it in 2019. Now, with Nabi being in good form, Shakib has slipped to the second spot with 310 points in contrast to Mohammad Nabi having 314 points.
