Debutant Sarfaraz Khan opens up on run out with Jadeja

Test debuts often mark the beginning of a player's journey into the highly competitive world of cricket. Such was the case with Indian debutant Sarfaraz Khan on Thursday in Rajkot, when he left a lasting impact with his Test debut for India against England. It remained a memorable one for Sarfaraz with the way he started off his innings quite confidently.
Sarfaraz Khan scored 62 runs from 66 balls that he faced during his innings. But, a disappointing mix-up with Ravindra Jadeja left Sarfaraz to be run out by Mark Wood with a direct hit.
There remained a little bit of miscommunication between both the batters. Ravindra Jadeja was playing on 99 when he called for a single, but soon realised not to take sending Sarfaraz back that resulted in the latter’s run out. Later, Jadeja issued a statement on his Instagram account terming that to be a wrong call.
"Feeling bad for Sarfaraz Khan. It was my wrong call. Well played," Jadeja stated in a statement on his Instagram account.
During the post-match press conference, Sarfaraz Khan opened up on the mix-up that led to his run out.
"Every now and then, miscommunication happens. It is part of the game. These things keep happening. I spoke to him at lunch time, and i’m the kind of batter who likes to keep communicating while batting as to be aware of what is going on. He supported me a lot today during the innings," said Sarfaraz.
