Speaking to the media ahead of the clash, Saim Ayub was asked to weigh in on the recent memories and historical weight of India-Pakistan matches. However, Saim was quick to redirect the narrative; instead, he underlined the team's intent to perform well.

"Memories don't matter. It is all about this tournament, and this is what matters most. We want to win this tournament. We are not just looking forward to Pakistan-India match. We are looking forward to winning the tournament," Saim Ayub said during the press conference on Saturday.

India vs Pakistan is more than just a match; it's a storied rivalry with deep-rooted history. Undoubtedly the match is going to be highly competitive, with both sides boasting a whole host of decorated batters and bowlers. On the Indian side, there is a sense of quiet confidence. Under the leadership of Captain Suryakumar Yadav, India have looked sharp, claiming a big win against UAE in their opening game.
