IPL 2024: Remarkable Pat Cummins at the helm, SRH eye a prosperous campaign

Just two days to go for the cricketing extravaganza, Indian Premier League (IPL), as it approaches its 17th edition, all eyes will be on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as they prepare to begin their campaign with renewed vigor and a fresh leader at the helm. With the announcement of Pat Cummins taking over the reins from Aiden Markram, SRH are hoping for a fruitful season, aiming to clinch their second IPL title.
Sunrisers Hyderabad faced an uphill task during the last edition of the tournament, finishing at the bottom in the points table with four victories from 14 games. They endured 10 defeats, failing to even qualify for the playoffs.
Australia’s World-Cup winning captain Pat Cummins was appointed the new captain of SRH for the IPL 2024. Star pacer Cummins carries a lot of experience with him. His leadership will bring a lot of changes at the Sunrisers Hyderabad. In recent times, Cummins has had tremendous success as leader, leading Australia to victories in crucial tournaments.
Cummins will replace previous captain Aiden Markram to lead the team in IPL 2024. The leadership transition at the SRH will bring a fresh perspective and renewed energy, presenting SRH a chance to emerge victorious.
On the field, Sunrisers Hyderabad have a solid lineup capable of putting the opponents down. With the likes of massively experienced Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen, SRH will be talking business with a balanced squad. SRH also roped in top-class allrounder Wanindu Hasaranga who will be alongside top-notch spinners Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed.
