The ongoing Indian Premier League is in full swing as Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals gear up to face each other in the 14th match of the tournament on Monday at the former’s home ground Wankhede Stadium. The encounter is poised to witness a thrilling showdown between two formidable teams.

Despite having played two games, Mumbai Indians are yet to secure a victory in the tournament. The five-time champions are facing early hurdles this time around, registering two defeats in two games. However, Mumbai Indians tend to start slowly and pick up the momentum as tournament progresses. MI’s new skipper Hardik Pandya has drawn a significant amount of criticism amid their defats in their last two games.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have enjoyed a contrasting start to their IPL 2024 campaign with two wins from their first two encounters. They are riding a wave of confidence with all of their players being in a fine rhythm. Their victories have showcased their consistency moving further into the tournament. Rajasthan Royals have displayed a penchant for turning the tables on their opponents, making them a formidable adversary in this season's IPL.

Mumbai Indians will be eager to register their first win of the season and reclaim their winning ways. This game is at their home ground with star players such as Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya having a good batting record here. They possess the firepower to turn the tide in their favor.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals will be aiming to maintain their winning streak and consolidate their position in the IPL standings. However, they have their different way as they start positively, but tend to lose the momentum as the tournament moves forward. It will be interesting to see as to how both teams approach the game.
