Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim named in Pakistan’s squad for NZ T20Is

Pakistan have named their squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand scheduled to begin from 18th April. The 17-member squad is seeing the return of Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim who both recently came out of international retirement to make themselves available for the team.
Babar Azam will be leading the team after recently being re-appointed as the T20I skipper, replacing Shaheen Afridi. Pace ace Haris Rauf has missed out as he continues to recover from his shoulder injury.
Both Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim came out of their international retirement after the PSL 2024, making themselves available for the team for the upcoming T20I World Cup 2024. This series will play an important role for Pakistan in ramping up their preparations ahead of the fast approaching T20I World Cup.
