IPL 2024: Tim David, Kieron Pollard fined for breaching code of conduct

Mumbai Indians batter Tim David and batting coach Kieron Pollard have been fined twenty percent of their match fee for breaching IPL’s Code of Conduct. Both players were handed fines following Mumbai Indians’ match against Punjab Kings on Thursday. 

"David and Pollard committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.20 of the IPL's Code of Conduct. David and Pollard were each fined 20 percent of their respective match fees. Both admitted to the offence and accepted the match referee's sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final and binding,” an IPL release stated. 

Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, won the game by nine runs, with Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee sharing six wickets between them, and a remarkable knock from Suryakumar Yadav, 78 off 53also played a crucial role in team’s win.
