Unbeaten India have been imposing, winning seven games out of seven in the ongoing T20I World Cup with their aggressive and fearless approach. As the tournament moves ahead, huge task awaits India as they gear up to come across England in the semi-final 2 of the ongoing T20I World Cup on Thursday.

India stormed into the semi-final after brushing aside Australia in a well-fought contest on Monday. Additionally, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was seen at his best during Australia match, signalling his fearless and aggressive intent. Sharma’s monstrous 92 came as a hard blow to the Australians, who failed to overcome India. Ahead of England’s match, Indian skipper underlined India’s intent to treat this match as another game and not think too much about it.

“We want to treat this game as another game that we have played in this tournament. We don’t want to think about as to what lies ahead and what is the context of the game. Everyone knows in the back of their mind it's a semi-final. But you don't want to keep talking about it again and again and again. And not to think about what has happened in the past,” Rohit said during the press conference ahead of the match.

“The entire group is in a good frame of mind. We’re playing well as a team, enjoying each other’s success at times as well. I think, it’s important to just carry on with what we’ve doing in this tournament. We’ve been put under pressure in certain games during this tournament, but we’ve responded pretty well,” he said.

“Sometimes if you think too much, sometimes you then will not be able to make the decisions that you want to make on the field. So, I think it's important that we stay clear in our mind what we want to do. We have had enough conversations with the players, what is expected out of each one of us. So, it's time now to just rely on the individual instinct and then take the game forward,” added Rohit.

Indian skipper also spoke about his approach as to how he keeps himself calm and composed.

"See, I think it's important to stay cool, calm when you're in this environment. Something that has worked for me over the years is staying calm and composed because I know that I have to make decisions on the field. So, for me, it has worked in the past where I have stayed calm and composed. But yeah, like sometimes you can lose your cool as well at the end of the day. I am a human being as well and if I see something that we have spoken of and that is not happening, sometimes you can lose your cool as well but that is completely alright," Rohit said.
