After completing the series whitewash in the three-match ODI series against South Africa Women, India Women have moved to Chennai to play the One-Off Test match against South Africa Women, scheduled to commence on June 28 at MA Chidambaram Stadium. The last time India played a Test match here was way back in 1976.

India last played at this ground in 2007 in a quadrangular series involving Australia Women, New Zealand Women and England Women. India Women made a strong start to their multi-format series against South Africa, kicking it off with an encouraging series victory in the three-match ODI series.

They would hope to carry forward their form to continue their dominance over South Africa. India Women last played their Test matches against England and Australia that they won comprehensively. The focus will be on young debutants as they would be expected to make their instant impact. South Africa, on the other side, will look to bounce back to challenge India after tasting distressing defeat in the ODI series. South Africa played Australia in a One-Off Test match in February in Perth earlier this year.
