Jemimah Rodrigues, Shikha Pandey to play in Women’s Caribbean Premier League
Indian women international cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shikha Pandey have been roped in by Trinbago Knight Riders for the Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2024. Jemimah Rodrigues will strengthen TKR’s batting lineup, while Shikha Pandey will be a big boost in the bowling department.
"This is the first time I'll be coming to the WCPL. I've played for India in the Caribbean quite a bit, but I'm really excited that I'll be representing the Knight Riders in WCPL. We all know the legacy that they have across the globe,” Rodrigues said.
TKR are still having six empty spots to fill to form a 15-player squad. They have retained five players from the last season in the form of Deandra Dottin, Shamila Connell, Kycia Knight, Zaida James and Samara Ramnath. In the other overseas signing, TKR have brought in Australian stars Meg Lanning and Jess Jonassen.
