India are gearing up for a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, set to begin from 27th July with the first T20I at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. This series marks a significant moment as India will be led by a new skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, for the first time.

The three-match T20I series will be crucial for both India and Sri Lanka as they start their journey under new skippers. Sri Lanka, who have endured a prolonged torrid period with their baffling performances, will look to provide a stern challenge for India under the captaincy of Charith Asalanka. Most recently, their disastrous performance at the T20I World Cup 2024 has compounded the problems for them.
