Moeen Ali signed as replacement for Saim Ayub at Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL

Moeen Ali is set to make his debut in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with Guyana Amazon Warriors after being signed as a replacement for Saim Ayub by the franchise. Pakistan’s Saim Ayub is unavailable for the entire season. Ayub’s absence is a tough blow to the defending champions as he was the star performer for the franchise at the CPL last year.
He was the second-leading run-getter in the tournament and also helped the side in their title win. Saim Ayub is set to play One-Day Cup, Pakistan’s domestic 50-over competition, which will overlap with the CPL. Ayub will be playing for Panthers in the tournament. However, Moeen Ali is also likely to miss in action for some time in CPL due to his involvement in The T20 Blast for Birmingham Bears. Meanwhile, it is still unclear as to when Moeen Ali will link up with Amazon Warriors.
Until Ali’s arrival, New Zealand’s explosive player Tim Robinson will act as his replacement. Robinson will further stay with the squad as a replacement for Afghanistan hitter Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who will depart the CPL after the Barbados leg for international duty
