Suryakumar Yadav out of first round of Duleep Trophy

Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has reportedly been ruled out of the opening round of the upcoming Duleep Trophy due to a hand injury which he picked up last week during pre-season game for Mumbai at Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament in Coimbatore. It’s a heavy setback for Yadav who is targeting his return to the Indian team in the longest format.

Just a few days back, fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Umran Malik were also ruled out due to illnesses. Suryakumar Yadav was in the Indian C squad being led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.
