Travis Head continues to remain in sensational form as he again played in spectacular fashion, smacking (80 off 25), in Australia’s first T20I match against Scotland on Wednesday at The Grange Club. With the help of Travis Head’s aggressive innings, Australia thumped Scotland by seven wickets, chasing down a total of (154) in (9.4) overs for the loss of three wickets.

Travis Head equalled the record for the fastest half-century by an Australian men’s batter as Australia kicked off their UK tour definingly. Skipper Mitchell Marsh also blazed (39 off 12), while Josh Inglis remained unbeaten on (27), with Australia taking an early lead in the three-match series.

Travis Head’s half-century came in just (17) deliveries, with which he equalled the record of Marcus Stoinis for the fastest half-century by an Australian man. Australia, in their chase, finished the powerplay at (113/1), which became the second-highest powerplay total ever scored in a men’s T20I. Earlier, Scotland posted (154/9) in (20) overs after being asked to bat.
