Former Indian allrounder S Sriram joins CSK as assistant coach

Chennai Super Kings have roped in former Indian allrounder S Sriram as their assistant bowling coach ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He will be joining the coaching staff led by Stephen Fleming, who is the head coach of the side. CSK’s coaching staff also includes Mike Hussey (batting coach), and Eric Simons (bowling consultant).
The upcoming edition of Indian Premier League will get underway from March 22 with the face-off between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Royals Challengers Bengaluru in Kolkata. Chennai Super Kings will begin their campaign by taking on Mumbai Indians on Sunday at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
S Sriram will be taking over from Dwayne Bravo, who has joined Kolkata Knight Riders as mentor. Meanwhile, Sriram also carries huge coaching experience, having served as Australia’s assistant coach from 2016 to 2022. He also worked with Lucknow Super Giants in 2024.
