Chennai Super Kings’ most decorated player, MS Dhoni, has found himself at the centre of swirling rumours about his retirement from the Indian Premier League. This speculation intensified following the presence of his parents in the stands during CSK’s match against Delhi Capitals on Saturday. However, MS Dhoni has come forward, brushing aside all the rumours and assuring his fans that he is not retiring from IPL at the end of the ongoing season. Dhoni maintained that he would give himself some time to figure out the future plan.

"No, not right now. I am still playing the IPL. I have kept it very simple, I take it one year at a time, I am 43, by the time this IPL season finishes, I will be 44, so after that I have 10 months to decide if I would play or not. But it is not me deciding, it is my body that decides. So, one year at a time, we will see after that," MS Dhoni said in the podcast with Raj Shamani.

MS Dhoni, who is a well-established figure in the IPL, has witnessed a sharp decline in his performance lately. So far, he hasn’t been able to perform well with the bat; however, his wicket-keeping skills have been incredibly outstanding. Last week against Delhi Capitals, Dhoni could only manage to score 30 runs as Super Kings were handed a massive 50-run defeat.
