Gujarat Titans rope in Dasun Shanaka as replacement for injured Phillips

In a significant move to bolster their squad, Gujarat Titans have roped in Sri Lankan all-rounder Dasun Shanaka as a replacement for the injured Glenn Phillips in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Glenn Phillips had picked up a groin injury a few days ago, which led to his unfortunate exclusion from the competition.
Shanaka, who has played for GT in the past, joins the franchise for INR 75 lakh. Shanaka played for GT back in 2023, featuring in three games. For Sri Lanka, he has played 102 T20Is. Meanwhile, GT’s next match is against Delhi Capitals on Saturday.
