Rahul Dravid denies rumours of rift with Sanju Samson

Rajasthan Royals’ head coach Rahul Dravid has firmly dismissed ongoing rumours of a fallout with team captain Sanju Samson, despite the team's underwhelming performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League. As the Royals struggle to make an impact in the tournament, whispers of a rift between the two key figures have been circulating, especially after RR’s disappointing loss to Delhi Capitals recently.
“I don’t know where these reports are coming from. Sanju and I are on the same page,” Dravid said during the press conference.
“He’s a very integral part of our team. He’s involved in each and every decision and discussion. Sometimes, when you lose games and things don’t go right, you face criticism and we can take it on our performances, but we can’t do anything about this baseless stuff.
“To be really honest, the spirit of the team is really good, I’m impressed with how hard these guys work. One of the things people don’t understand is how hurt the players feel when they don’t perform.”
Rajasthan are now gearing up to face Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Currently, Rajasthan have won two of their last seven games.
