Jos Buttler missed out on his century, firing a dazzling knock of 97*, but his impressive innings helped Gujarat Titans claim a 7-wicket win over the high-flying Delhi Capitals on Saturday at Narendra Modi Stadium. Titans achieved the target with four balls to spare in what turned out to be a thrilling IPL clash.

Buttler’s performance was extraordinarily outstanding, as he produced a dazzling display of shot-making throughout his innings. Buttler’s flawless timing and elegance was on full display, dispatching Australian legend Mitchell Starc for 20 runs in five balls in the 15th over.

The chase started well for GT, with Sai Sudharsan cracking 36, but it was Buttler who truly seized control of the game. His partnership with Sherfane Rutherford (43), who played the perfect supporting role, was key in ensuring GT’s victory.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals had posted a challenging total of 203/8 in their 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, DC enjoyed significant contributions from their top order. Skipper Axar Patel top-scored with a 32-ball 39 while Ashutosh blasted 37 off just 19 balls. Karun Nair and Tristan Stubbs blitzed 31 runs each.
