IPL 2025: Table-toppers GT face struggling KKR

Gujarat Titans, currently sitting at the top of the IPL points table, are gearing up to take on the struggling Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. High on confidence, GT will look to maintain their dominant position, with their top-order batters and their powerful bowling unit continuing to impress. Meanwhile, KKR, sitting in seventh place, face an uphill battle to stay alive in the tournament.
GT have been drastically impressive this season, with their top order, consisting of dynamic players like Jos Buttler, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, being the driving force behind their strong performances. Buttler, particularly, has been in scintillating form at the top of the order, while Gill and Sudharsan’s consistency has been invaluable in the team’s success.
Additionally, GT’s bowling attack has been incredibly disciplined. Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore have been leading the charge. Alongside them, Ishant Sharma and Rashid Khan have been in sensational form. On the other hand, defending champions KKR have found themselves in a difficult position in the tournament. Sitting at seventh in the points table, they are in great trouble unless they can turn their fortunes around. Their performance so far has been marked by inconsistency, both with the bat and the ball. They have struggled to put together complete performances.
