IPL 2025: Kohli, Krunal Pandya steer RCB to revenge win

In what turned out to be an exciting clash, Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya showcased their class with match-winning innings of 51 and 73* respectively, steering Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a commanding six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals on Sunday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The win marked a satisfying revenge for RCB after previous setbacks against the Capitals.
Chasing a target of 163, RCB suffered early setbacks, losing key top-order batters cheaply. But Kohli and Pandya steadied the ship with a composed and attentive partnership, facing a spirited DC bowling attack with composure and determination.
Their watchful and confident stroke play ensured the team’s victory. The duo’s partnership flourished as they rotated the strike efficiently and capitalised on loose deliveries, guiding their team past the target in just 18.3 overs, finishing at 165/4.
Earlier, after being sent in to bat, Delhi Capitals posted a competitive total of 162/8 in 20 overs. KL Rahul led the scoring with a brisk 41, while Tristan Stubbs contributed a solid 34.
