South Africa confirm WTC Final squad, Lungi Ngidi makes comeback
South Africa have named their squad for the World Test Championship Final, with pacer Lungi Ngidi making his return to the side. The formidable 15-member squad, featuring the likes of Aiden Markram, Tristan Stubbs, Ryan Rickelton, Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj, will be led by Temba Bavuma. South Africa will be clashing with Australia in their first-ever WTC Final beginning 11 June at Lord’s.
"A key part of our success has been consistency in selection, and we’ve stuck with the core group of players who have been part of this WTC cycle. We’ve selected a balanced squad for the conditions we expect at Lord’s," SA head coach Shukri Conrad said.
“I’m particularly pleased to welcome Lungi back in the side. He’s put in the work and offers us an experienced option with the ball.”
