“One of the greatest Test batters”: James Anderson on Kohli

Former England fast-bowling legend James Anderson has lauded Virat Kohli as one of the greatest batters to ever play Test cricket following Kohli’s recent retirement from the longest format. Kohli, who called time on his Test career after a remarkable 14-year journey, leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered forever.
Kohli’s retirement call came just a few days after Rohit Sharma decided to retire from Test cricket on May 7. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli said goodbye to the longest format a month ahead of India’s tour of England for five Test matches.
“Great players. There will be a new captain because Sharma has retired. Kohli, one of the greatest Test batters that's ever been. There are big shoes to fill there, but they've got a huge amount of talent in their squad. You just have to watch the IPL. They are bringing players into Test cricket from the IPL now who are just so attacking, aggressive, and fearless," Anderson said on TalkSport.
Kohli’s Test career is decorated with staggering achievements. Amassing 9,230 runs in 123 matches, he scored 30 centuries and 31 fifties, establishing himself as a cornerstone of India’s batting lineup. He finished his Test career as India's fourth highest Test run-scorer.
