New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult, according to ESPNcricinfo, is set to rejoin Mumbai Indians’ squad for the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2025, which is scheduled to resume on May 17. The veteran pacer will return at a crucial time for Indians, who have staged an impressive turnaround after a dismal start to the tournament. Boult has played a pivotal role in reviving MI’s fortunes.

He is the leading wicket-taker for MI with 18 wickets at an economy rate of 8.49. MI, meanwhile, are waiting for their top three overseas players, Ryan Rickelton, Corbin Bosch and Will Jacks. The South African pair of Ryan Rickelton, Corbin Bosch has been named in South Africa’s squad for the WTC final against Australia at Lord’s in June.

And Will Jacks has been added to England’s squad for the upcoming white-ball series against West Indies at home. The uncertainty over the trio's availability could give Mumbai Indians harrowing times heading into the playoffs.
