“Proactive on the field”: GT assistant coach Parthiv Patel’s massive praise for Gill
Gujarat Titans’ assistant coach Parthiv Patel has expressed immense pride in Shubman Gill’s efforts in the ongoing IPL 2025. Patel highlighted Gill’s unwavering determination and steadfast leadership. So far, Gill has been in fantastic form, hitting 508 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 152.55, including five half-centuries. Meanwhile, Gill’s exceptional leadership and batting have provided a silver lining for the team as the IPL nears its business end.
“Gill has been fantastic as captain. The way he’s been around with the group, I don’t need to mention how well he’s batting right now and the way he’s handling the situation,” Parthiv said during the press conference.
“He’s scoring a lot of runs, he’s been very good, proactive on the field. Off the field also, he spends a lot of time with young players. I’ve said this before too, you can feel that Gill is the captain in the dressing room, that’s what you want in a leader.”
GT are set to clash with Delhi Capitals on Sunday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Currently, they are second on the points table with eight victories and three defeats in 11 matches.
