Shubman Gill to lead as India unveil squad for England Tests

India have named their squad for the upcoming five-match Test series against England, to be played in June, with Sai Sudharsan and Karun Nair making their comeback to the side. The squad will be led by young Shubman Gill, who was named India's Test skipper on Saturday. Rishabh Pant has been named as India's vice-captain. Gill has represented India in 32 Tests, and has 1893 runs at an average of 35.05. He has also smashed five centuries in the format.
Notably, Mohammed Shami has not been included in the squad. Karun Nair has earned the call on the back of scintillating domestic performance. While Sudharsan has been in exceptional form in the IPL.
Familiar faces such as KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav have also been named in the squad.
