Kohli, Jitesh shine in RCB’s powerful win

In a nail-biting showdown on Tuesday in Lucknow, RCB showcased their dominance with a commanding 6-wicket victory over LSG, sealing a top-two finish and securing a vital spot in qualifier 1. RCB chased down a daunting target of 228 with eight balls to spare, riding on a masterclass from Jitesh Sharma and strong supporting knocks from Mayank Agarwal and Virat Kohli.

Chasing the target, Virat Kohli laid the groundwork for the chase with a composed 54. After his departure, Jitesh Sharma played an aggressive hand, smashing 85* in quick time to keep momentum on RCB’s side.

The real star of the evening was Jitesh Sharma, guiding the team through a tricky middle phase and accelerating brilliantly towards the finish. He was helped by Mayank Agarwal with a brilliant 41 unbeaten. RCB reached their target in 18.4 overs, finishing the job with eight balls to spare.

Earlier, LSG sent in to bat, put up an imposing total of 227/3 in 20 overs. Skipper Pant led from the front with a stunning unbeaten 118. He was supported by in-form Mitchell Marsh, who scored 67.
