Hayley Matthews likely to miss 3rd ODI vs England

West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews is likely to miss the third ODI match against England due to a shoulder injury, which also put her on the sidelines in the second game. She picked up the injury during the first ODI in Derby last Friday.

"She's going to London tomorrow morning, so we'll know more then," West Indies Women's head coach Shane Deitz said.

"Hopefully we'll get some good news tomorrow,” he said.

England, who are already leading the series 2-0, will hope to sweep the series 3-0. West Indies lost the first and second ODIs by 108 runs and 143 runs, respectively. Matthews was the player of the series in T20I leg despite West Indies not winning a single game.

Meanwhile, Qiana Joseph, who missed the second game due to illness, is expected to return to the side. The third ODI is set to be played on Saturday at The Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton.

"I was hoping she'd be okay today, but she got on the team bus and looked terrible so we sent her back to bed. Hopefully she'll come good in a couple of days. She played really good the other day. She's getting better as time goes on in the team so fingers crossed. I'm pretty sure she'll be right for the next game,” Deitz said.
