Suryakumar Yadav undergoes successful sports hernia surgery
Indian T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav is recovering well after undergoing a successful surgery on his hernia in Munich, Germany. Yadav broke the news of his surgery on social media, stating that he is on the road to recovery and can’t wait to get back into action.
"Underwent surgery for a sports hernia in the lower right abdomen," Yadav wrote on Instagram.
"Grateful to share that after a smooth surgery, I’m already on the road to recovery. Can’t wait to be back."
Yadav last appeared for India earlier this year in a five-match T20I series against England, which India won 4-1. Yadav was also recently seen in the IPL 2025, representing Mumbai Indians. He played a powerful role in Mumbai’s journey to the playoffs, ending the season with 717 runs – the most by a non-opener in the IPL and the highest by a Mumbai Indians' batter in a single season.
